My schedule is getting crazier by the minute . Anyway -- my flight was at 9:50 am but I decided to be at the airport two hours earlier so I can sneak into my hidden corner table at Einsteen Brothers while I am gulping my frapuccino and taking giant bites of their crusty asiago bagels - yum! Oh well..I planned on escaping work and do some personal reading but I ended up with typing with my fat fingers answering more than 20 emails in my blackberry even before 8am - -wow!
My life in a fast pace mode! I finished the first book (yes I read fast!) and I barely closed my eyes when I heard the pilot saying that we were landing - huh? Tossing my unfinished water and running through a dab of Chanel lipstick in my now dried lips...Finally , my day will begin....
Airport run...then hailed a taxi with the driver named "Tahir". Yes..his card has no last name. That's cool.. so I asked him is he's like a famous driver who only goes by the first name (aka Madonna, Oprah) while I am clicking pictures with my trusted red Nikon. Blah Blah Blah - -where is your family - -blah blah blah - can you pick me up at 3?
Small talk..small talk....clicking for more pictures and 20 minutes later - -I arrived to my destination.
Met with a few colleagues..introduction ... more introduction - -then the big lunch meeting. By the time the clock hits 3pm...I am so dead tired and sooooo hungry (I don't eat properly at meetings as I hate to have a leaf to get stuck in my teeth) and I forgot to call a taxi.
As I was trying to figure out the number to a general cab line.... guess what...Tahir was outside the door in his flashy green cab as he had promised...Yeah! -- he's my new buddy!
All this meeting, made me think of comfort food and good soup - - French Onion Soup is my all time favorite. I tried making it once and it took me almost an hour - - -but this Batali version is so easy - - less than 30 minutes and it feels so light (creamier than the traditional onion soup) and it's worth trying!

I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.

Wow! BoB. Well, I did assume the strong possibility that Drew watched an internet copy of the movie. I did not accuse, but I did sort of imply that just to be concise. I have a tendency to say too much and preamble too much. I could have said "If you mean "X-Men Origins: Wolverine"..." and "If you are a human being..." and "If you live in the United States...". Or, I could have asked these questions first and waited and then commented. But I was trying to keep it to a short informative comment, so I made a few assumptions.
If you notice, I did not comment on the quality of the movie. The special effects issue is fairly common knowledge, but not known by all. I was just trying to inform others, and maybe Drew, about that problem. I guess that'll teach me to try and contribute.
