I was working like crazy, catching up emails in between meetings and phone calls--whew! Is this me? This is truly a productive day. As always, by 3 pm my head is killing me - - I really need to have a break programmed in my calendar so I can eat! Aggghh - -I never learn. All this food and I only have time for granola bars?
I love date night and we seldom do that nowadays, so I called hubby and ask him to take me to dinner at FIRE BIRDS (relax, I'll pay). I just need a break from my Batali kitchen so even if I am not a big fan of steak,this place is my choice attributed to their signature drink. I always order Merlot for dinner but the combination of vodka and fresh pineapple (preserved for 21 days) served in a martini glass makes me break my wine habit.
I wish I can write like a true food critic - - Unfortunately, I use this blog as my daily diary. Anyway, hubby and I will enter a new chapter in our lives and it's always good to talk about it . At the end of the day ...I know we'll both be happy. Life is too short for me to worry and with this Creme Brulee Cheesecake and my uncooked Batali recipes still waiting for me in the kitchen ....everything will be okay.
