Today is the day that I start my new blog series. First things first - - I need a checklist to keep me focused (This new hobby is not easy you know?). This is a new project - -so I will make the experience realistic as if I have Mario B cooking in my kitchen and I am the clueless sous chef (chef jacket, crocs and the works!). So far, I am ready to roll .. .

I originally looked at Amazon for some discounted books - -but I want Mario B. to sign this book one day. This project is personal - -so full price it is! The Barnes and Nobles branch near my home has this last copy on their shelves --whew! I can't afford to have a delay!

I refuse to wear ORANGE CROCS (or crocs in general) and who sells Crocs anyway? Hmmm..Payless has them ? Fine - - -I got one.

You see, everytime I will cook a batali dishI want to feel the iron chef experience! So - - I got a chef jacket (and one for my sous chef daughter) .

..and with our trusted Mario Batali rolling pin....
